Little girl's dream came true. The volcano Fagradalsfjall erupted exactly on the last day of @theicelandtrail last summer. The only chance we had to go was during a big storm. A hell of a hike with a delicious dessert. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Last year I visited Dorcas in northern Macedonia. An unspoiled and rugged country. Dorcas took us into the culture and introduced us to the local people. This made it a very different experience than if I had gone myself. ⁠

That way everyone does everything at their own pace. Of course at 6 a.m. there is a line at the toll gate. Why get up so early to go to work? A different mentality from the hurried Western living environment we are used to. ⁠

We spent the day in the mountains, walking uphill. Then to enjoy dessert: paragliding down. ⁠

Have you ever felt like you walked on the moon? I got to experience it last summer during @theicelandtrail. Trekking through the nature of Iceland for a week. You don't need much besides food, a tent, sleeping bag and of course my camera. Being outdoors makes people shine. How beautiful it is to see what the world has to offer in terms of beautiful landscapes. ⁠
